HOLY ORDERS

Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time…It includes three degrees of order: episcopate, presbyterate, and diaconate. (CCC 1536)

“The priesthood is the love of the heart of Jesus. When you see a priest, think of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

– St. John Vianney, patron saint of parish priests

Do you know that there are over three hundred communities in the United States that are in need of an ordained priest and that over 60% of the United State’s clergy will retire within the next few years? When discerning a call to the priesthood, please know that there is no shortage of men who are being called to a vocation to the priesthood. Rather, it is that young men can’t hear (haven’t prepared a space for) or are not answering the call. Pray for the courage to enter into silence and hear the message God has for you, the call for a fullness of life. For questions about the vocation to the priesthood, contact Fr. Mark Zacker, Parochial Administrator at 720-215-4554 .
