Our Psalm today, “The Lord has done great things for us; we are filled with joy,” sheds light on our beautiful Gospel reading about the healing of the blind man, Bartimaeus. Whatever it is that you desire to be healed from today, confidently cry out to Jesus in prayer. He is listening. And when you hear the voice of doubt, keep praying. Strive to have unwavering faith that Jesus is with you. He hears you and will heal you in His way and His time. Know that the Lord has done great things for you and will continue to do so — so let your hearts be filled with joy! My heart is filled with joy at your response to our Annual Stewardship Appeal! I thank each of you who returned a Commitment Card. I pray that as you live out your commitments in the next year, you will experience a deepening of your relationship with Jesus, family, and our parish community. I look forward to seeing and hearing how it all unfolds for you and for our parish. If you haven’t returned your Commitment Card, or completed one online at the parish website, www.stfranciscr.org, it is NOT too late. In fact, it is never too late to discern where Jesus is calling you to use your time, talents, and treasure to grow closer to Him, and I encourage you to take a few minutes this week to do just that. There are Commitment Cards available in the pews if you have misplaced yours or you may complete a card online at our parish website. Please take this opportunity to discern how Jesus is calling you to grow closer to Him today. May Jesus bless each of you as you continue striving to do His will! Fr. Mark Zacker Pastor
