Our Bible readings this Sunday call you to roll up your sleeves and persevere through the remainder of Lent by committing to a more faithful life with Jesus.
In today's Gospel, Jesus purifies the temple area because it is being used as a marketplace. He becomes angry at the people’s lack of reverence for God. He spills the coins of the money changers and overturns their tables. Jesus witnessed the way people mistreated the temple — the place to worship God and God alone. He drives out evil and works to purify all that is sinful in that place.
This is what Jesus wants to do for you this Lenten season. He wants to remove all impurity and evil in your life and heart so that you may have a proper dwelling place for the Holy Spirit.
Ask yourself, what areas of your life need cleansing? Review the Ten Commandments from our first reading today. Name those areas and invite Jesus to purify you. He became just like you to carry your burdens and take away your sins. He gives you boundless mercy, but you must do your part to seek it and commit to living a more faithful life as His disciple. This week, seek to be purified from your sins so that your heart might be a true temple of the Holy Spirit.
This season of Lent is only halfway done — there is still time to work through your shortcomings and purify your hearts for Easter morning. But don’t waste another moment. Name your sins, seek God’s mercy, and invite Him to transform your heart.

Nuestras lecturas bíblicas de hoy te invitan a remangarte y perseverar durante el resto de la Cuaresma comprometiéndote a llevar una vida más fiel con Jesús.
En el Evangelio de hoy, Jesús purifica la zona del templo porque se utiliza como mercado. Se enfada por la falta de reverencia de la gente hacia Dios. Derrama las monedas de los cambistas y vuelca sus mesas. Jesús es testigo del modo en que la gente maltrata el templo, el lugar para adorar a Dios y sólo a Dios. Expulsa el mal y trabaja para purificar todo lo que hay de pecaminoso en ese lugar.
Esto es lo que Jesús quiere hacer por ti en este tiempo de Cuaresma. Quiere eliminar toda impureza y maldad de tu vida y de tu corazón para que puedas tener una morada adecuada para el Espíritu Santo.
Pregúntate, ¿qué áreas de tu vida necesitan limpieza? Repasa los Diez Mandamientos de nuestra primera lectura de hoy. Nombra esas áreas e invita a Jesús a purificarte. Él se hizo igual que tú para llevar tus cargas y quitar tus pecados. Él te da una misericordia sin límites, pero tú debes poner de tu parte para buscarla y comprometerte a vivir una vida más fiel como su discípulo. Esta semana, trata de purificarte de tus pecados para que tu corazón sea un verdadero templo del Espíritu Santo.
Este tiempo de Cuaresma está sólo a la mitad - todavía hay tiempo para trabajar en sus defectos y purificar sus corazones para la mañana de Pascua. Pero no pierdas ni un momento más. Nombra tus pecados, busca la misericordia de Dios e invítale a transformar tu corazón.
